The guard had a successful marching season capped by their Outstanding 6A Color Guard award at the Putnam City Marching Classis in October. After marching season, the guard switched over to the Winter Guard. At the first COPAA contest of the season (at MCHS), there were few guards that had their show ready for juding, so the contest became a critique clinic. At the 2nd COPAA contest of the season (also at MCHS), the guard took 1st place in Scholastic A. At the 3rd COPAA contest (at Mustang), the guard took 3rd place. Finally, at the COPAA Championships at Moore, the MCHS guard took 1st place and the 2005-2006 COPAA crown. You can watch the video from this performance here.
