Wind Ensemble

The Midwest City High School Wind Esemble is directed by Mr. Davis. The concert band has been in existence almost as long as the school itself. Over the years the Bomber Band has developed a rich history of participation and pride. The band at MCHS has played a major role in the growth and success of MCHS as a whole. Without it, MCHS would lose an essential element to its Fine Arts Department and recognition around the country.

 

Concert Band

The concert bands in Oklahoma are also known as "E" bands. These are the 2nd concert bands of each school. The "E" band has not always been at MCHS. Until the 1980's the band stayed in one concert band for the entire year. With a group of 150 students in a concert band, it is understandable why the "E" band was eventually created. The MCHS Concert Band under the direction of Mr. Mark Hensley. The "E" band has received numberous awards in its lifetime and enjoys a great group of musicians every year.

 

Jazz Band

The Midwest City High School Jazz Esemble is directed by Mark Hensley. The Jazz Band has consistently placed in the top 3 bands in our state and has received high scores and praise from all who have heard them.
