John Davis
Mr. Davis is our head director. Mr. Davis plays trumpet and graduated from Edmond High School in 1973. He then went on to receive his Bachelors in Music Education from The University of Central Oklahoma in 1978. In October of 1979 he became the director at Monroney Jr. High (one of MCHS' feeder schools). In 1981 he then became the assistant director at MCHS under Pat Burney. In 1983, Mr. Davis became the head director at MCHS and held that position until 1999. In 1999 Mr. Davis moved to Hawaii and taught at King Intermediate School until 2001, when he moved back to Oklahoma. After returning, Mr. Davis taught at Whittier Middle School in Norman, OK. Mr. Davis returned to MCHS in 2002.

Mark Hensley
Mr. Hensley is our assistant director. Mr. Hensley is a Bassoon player and graduated from Carl Albert High School in 1993. He then went on to the University of Central Oklahoma and earned his Bachelors in Music Education in 1998. After graduating from UCO, Mr. Hensley went on to teach at Dibble Middle/High School from 1999-2002. After teaching in Dibble, Mr. Hensley came to MCHS as our assistant director in 2002. In the Spring of 2003, the Mid-Del district underwent a major financial crisis, as did many other school districts in Oklahoma. Because of these cuts, the assistant directors were cut to save money. Mr. Hensley was then able to move to Del Crest Junior High here in Mid-Del and taught there for the 2003-2004 school year. In the Spring of 2004, the budget had been corrected and Mr. Hensley was able to come back to us at MCHS.
